The Challenge
A well-known apparel and footwear brand needed a digital solution to manage and inventory mannequins displayed in their retail stores. They had hundreds of brick and mortar locations across the US, an average of 10-12 mannequins per store, and each mannequin was outfitted with an average of seven products. Brand perception and consistency was key - they wanted every store to showcase products in a specific way.
Our Solution
We developed a wireframe and POC that used QR codes (already placed by manufacturers) to manage each mannequin, the products on display, and the last time it was re-dressed. The same QR codes were repurposed for consumer-facing use, allowing customers to scan and see outfit details and pricing.
